At a very early age, Summers was already an artist.

Her first painting sold at age fifteen and throughout high school Summers continued to enjoy success in art shows. Paintings would repeatedly sell out in all of her traveling exhibits. After completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Summers relocated to NYC where she was quickly recruited by numerous fashion industry icons.

Summers began her professional career with Yves St. Laurent, creating portraits of VIP clients. Her work was later commissioned by Chanel where she earned status as the company’s exclusive portrait artist for several years. While in New York, Summers also worked with Lancome and Paloma Picasso.

Summers’ success as a portrait artist flourished after a showing in Atlanta where she appeared in her typical gallery attire of Hollywood-style evening gown and gloves. Her innate sense of style and elegant artwork won the attention of new clients in the high-end hospitality business.

Summers became an exclusive in-house portrait artist for The Greenbriar, a five-diamond luxury resort and hotel in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. For the next ten years Summers would create portraits of famous celebrities and pampered guests, many of whom traveled to the resort specifically to commission her work. In this setting, Summers deepened her ability to capture for her clients their unique inner beauty, essence and love of life.

Summers is always developing her artistic talents and offering her best to others. She typically mixes media of fine acrylic paint and pastel pencil, finding that the marriage of these elements allow her to capture the heart of her clients. All portraits are painted on specialty paper imported from France.

From her studio in Florida, Summers still continues to create quality portraits, canvas paintings and custom murals. She is also sought for her talents in interior design and decorative finishings. Following a lifelong interest in the fashion world, Summers is currently designing a unique line of clothing to enhance confidence among shapely women by emphasizing the soft beauty of the female form. She also teaches art as a means to empower others to believe in their unique expression of creativity.
